Easter football. Preview of the Lechia Gdańsk – Korona Kielce match

We have a match coming up in the 27th round of the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa. On Monday, 6 April 2026, at 8.15 pm, we will host Korona Kielce. It promises to be a tough match, in which we will need to set the pace from the first whistle and stay focused right until the very end.

We go into the match against Korona following the Pomeranian Derby, in which we faced Pogoń Szczecin. That fixture ended in a 2:1 victory for us, with Bujar Pllana and Tomasz Neugebauer getting on the scoresheet. A win in the derby is always more than just three points, but we remain fully focused and humble ahead of the next match. We’re approaching the game in good spirits, but with the awareness that another demanding challenge lies ahead.

– It’s a very tough opponent with a very good coach. The points difference between us is very small. With a potential win, we could move up at least one position. Korona is a team that is very well organized defensively and has a solid structure – said coach John Carver at the pre-match press conference.

– We all know very well how important the fans are for this club. The atmosphere they created in the match against Pogoń was truly incredible. In such moments, it’s the fans who push the team to win. We need them – they are very important to us. If the #8DychNaLechię campaign could be a success, it would be something truly amazing. I think success on the pitch and in the stands go hand in hand – added the White-and-Green coach.
