A clash on Radom soil. Preview of the Radomiak Radom – Lechia Gdańsk match

In the 31st round of the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa, we will face Radomiak. The match will take place on Monday, 4 May 2026 at 7.00 pm. We face another league challenge, in which it will be crucial from the first whistle to take the initiative, play with high intensity and be clinical in front of the opposition’s goal.

Over the last few days, we’ve played two matches that went very differently. On 20 April, we faced Piast Gliwice, and the match ended in a 1:1 draw. Ivan Zhelizko scored the goal for our team. Then, on 25 April, we faced Rakow Częstochowa. Despite putting up a fight and showing flashes of good play, we lost 1:2. The only goal for our team was scored by Tomáš Bobček, who successfully converted a penalty. The experience gained from these matches provides us with important material for analysis. We are approaching the match against Radomiak with full focus and determination, aiming to translate the lessons from previous games into more effective play.

– The opponents have basically changed everything. There has been a change of coach, adjustments in the squad and structure, and most importantly, improved results – they’ve won their last two matches. The hardest thing is predicting what lineup they will use on Monday. They have a large squad and it’s difficult to say who will play. I believe Radomiak’s recent wins are no coincidence, and they’ve managed to turn things in their favor – said coach John Carver at the pre-match press conference.

– All of our attacking players have scored many goals in the past and will certainly score again in the future. Sometimes everyone has a bad day at work – you, me – and I’m not going to criticize players for missing chances. What pleases me is that we are creating goal-scoring opportunities. I told the players not to be too hard on themselves, because sometimes the ball goes in, and sometimes it doesn’t – added the White-and-Green coach.
