Lechia Gdańsk Appoints Vladyslav Lupashko as Head Coach
Lechia Gdańsk is pleased to announce the appointment of Vladyslav Lupashko as the Club’s new Head Coach.
Regarded as one of Eastern Europe’s most promising young coaches, Lupashko has earned recognition for his modern approach to football, player development, and his ability to build teams that play an attractive, attacking style of football. His contract with Lechia Gdańsk will run until 30 June 2029.
The 39-year-old Ukrainian began his coaching career as an assistant at FC Inhulets before guiding the club to the Ukrainian First League title and promotion to the Ukrainian Premier League in his very first season as a head coach. In recognition of this achievement, he was named Ukrainian First League Coach of the Year for the 2023/24 season.
The next step in his career came at Karpaty Lviv. In the club’s first season back in the Ukrainian Premier League, Lupashko led the team to an impressive sixth-place finish. It was one of the standout achievements of the season for a newly promoted side, and he was subsequently voted Ukraine’s Coach of the Year for the 2024/25 season by the fans.
Welcome to Lechia Gdańsk, Vladyslav! We wish you every success in the Green and White colours!
