Defeat in Friendly Match Against Olimpia Grudziądz

Lechia Gdańsk suffered a 3:1 defeat to Olimpia Grudziądz in a friendly match played on Saturday at the stadium on Traugutta 29. Michał Głogowski scored the only goal for the White and Greens.

The visitors made a strong start, taking the lead in just the 2nd minute with their first clear chance of the game. Lechia responded quickly, however. A few minutes later, Kacper Sezonienko broke down the left flank before delivering the ball into the penalty area, where Bakary Sonko set up Michał Głogowski to finish from close range.

Following Lechia’s equaliser, the game became more balanced, with both teams enjoying spells of possession and looking to create further opportunities. As the first half progressed, however, Olimpia proved more clinical. The visitors capitalised on their attacking chances and scored twice more before the break to take a 3:1 lead into half-time.

After the restart, Lechia head coach gradually introduced a number of substitutions, giving more players the opportunity to feature. The White and Greens enjoyed more possession and searched for a way back into the game. Tomasz Wójtowicz came close to scoring, but his effort was blocked, while Ivan Zhelizko and Bartosz Górski also had chances to reduce the deficit.

The second half produced no further goals. Both teams created several more opportunities, but solid defending and good goalkeeping kept the score unchanged. The match ended with a 3–1 victory for Olimpia Grudziądz.
