The goal – to start November well. Preview of the match between Lechia Gdańsk and Radomiak Radom

Tomorrow, Monday, 3 November, we return to Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk to experience the excitement of the league once again. As part of the 14th round of the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa, our team will face Radomiak Radom. The match will start at 6 p.m.

In their last match, our players gave the fans plenty of excitement as they faced Puszcza Niepołomice in the round of 32 of the STS Polish Cup. After a fierce and hard-fought match, which ended in extra time, it was Lechia who could celebrate advancing to the next stage of the competition. Ultimately, the white-and-greens won 3:1, with Maksym Diachuk, Tomáš Bobček and Aleksandar Ćirković scoring the goals. Thanks to this triumph, our team advanced to the 1/8 finals of the Polish Cup, continuing its adventure in this competition.

The last league match played at Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk took place on 3 October as part of the 11th round of the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa. Then, the white-and-greens drew 1–1 with Wisła Płock, with Kacper Sezonienko scoring the goal for our team.

After winning the cup, our team is approaching the next match with even greater motivation. The white and green team is ready to fight from the first to the last minute to win all the points with the support of their fans.

RIVAL PROFILE – RADOMIAK RADOM

The most important change at Radomiak Radom is the recent change of coach – a few days ago, Gonçalo Feio took over from João Henriques. At his first pre-match press conference, the new coach devoted a lot of attention to Lechia, emphasising its quality and the way the team is managed.

– The opponent must be greatly appreciated. I respect coach John Carver and his staff, led by Radek Bella – they took over the team in a difficult situation and saved it. They are developing a young squad, giving the team an identity and maintaining it over the long term – I admire that. Lechia plays very intensely, with great energy and dedication. – said Gonçalo Feio.

The coach also highlighted the individual strengths of the white-and-green team: – Tomas Bobček has great intensity, Kacper Sezonienko is also very mobile, they have players with long-range shooting skills and have made huge progress in positional attack. It will be a very complex opponent and match.

Since our last meeting, Radomiak’s squad has been strengthened with several interesting transfers. Among others, Romário Baró, a central midfielder with experience at FC Basel and FC Porto, has joined the team, as well as central defender Adrián Diéguez, who previously played for Jagiellonia, Deportivo Alavés and SD Huesca. Jeremy Blasco, a former player for SD Huesca and Real Sociedad’s second team, has also joined Radom. Goalkeeper Filip Majchrowicz, who played for Górnik Zabrze last season, has returned to Radomiak. Maurides has also returned to Radom, having played for St. Pauli and Debrecen in Hungary after leaving the club. Another interesting addition is defensive midfielder Ibrahima Camará, who previously played for Boavista in Portugal.
