5th Meeting – August 7, 2025
The fifth meeting of the Business Club took place on August 7, 2025, at the Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk.
The agenda of the meeting included:
1. Foundations of the Lechia Gdańsk Business Club
2. Welcome of new Members
3. Interview with special guest Marcin Matkowski
4. Debt collection — how to recover outstanding payments
5. The Business Club is growing stronger
6. Networking
The meeting was led by Marcin Czugan and Alexander Kalwitzki.
The foundations of the Business Club’s operations were reiterated, and the tools supporting the Club’s activities were presented. A distinguishing feature of Members – in addition to all other benefits – is a special membership certificate designed and created by us, serving as a unique identifier of participation in the Club.
A fixed feature of our meetings is the official welcome of new Members. On this day, we welcomed two new companies into the white-and-green business family: Maximus Gastronomia and AN-BA Aneta Pietrzyk. A warm welcome to both of you!
Next, we conducted an interview with our special guest – Marcin Matkowski, the best doubles tennis player in Polish history. He shared how tennis shaped him, how sport prepared him for running a business, and how challenging it was to become an entrepreneur after a lifelong sports career. The discussion included questions about his current business ventures and future plans. Did you know that Marcin defeated Roger Federer in doubles during his tennis career? That topic was also part of our conversation!
The next discussion topic was debt collection, covering stages, rules, and how to protect financial assets from loss. We learned how court bailiffs operate, statutes of limitation, and the digitalization of court proceedings. Debt collection is a constant element of the financial market, without which it could not function. Mariusz Kloska from Grupa BEST, an expert in debt collection, guided us through this topic ľ thank you!
We then reviewed the current membership composition of the Club. The Club continues to grow, and the fact that we can welcome new Members at every meeting is a positive sign for future activities.
Following the substantive part of the meeting, the traditional networking session took place, fostering further business relationships. Once again, we are delighted to see the Club growing in both size and strength.
