Today we will play another match in the 2024/25 season. As part of the 26th PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa round, we will face Jagiellonia Białystok at the Polsat Plus Arena. The meeting will begin at 17:30.
The previous match we played against Radomiak Radom. The match ended with the Radomiak Radomians winning 2:1. We will approach today’s meeting with a great will to fight, knowing that we face a difficult rival – Jagiellonia, the current Polish Champion. We will do everything to fight for every meter of the pitch and show our strength. Lechia always plays to the end, so we won’t lack determination this time either!
– Jagiellonia is in a very good shape and has success in Europe, with the Super Cup just ahead. It will be a difficult match, but we will not be scared and we want to treat it as a challenge. We have the healthiest situation in terms of line-up selection, everyone is available. It’s also very good that we don’t have yellow card suspensions. This is actually the first time I have had everyone at my disposal – said coach John Carver at his pre-match press conference.

RIVAL PROFILE: JAGIELLONIA BIAŁYSTOK
Last season, Jagiellonia claimed the title of Polish Champion. Currently, the Białystok players are 2nd in the table, losing just a point to the leader – Raków Częstochowa. In the previous round, they beat Lech Poznań 2:1. The Białystok players are also having a great season in the Europa League, and they have a great challenge ahead of them – the quarter-final of the European competition against Spanish Real Betis. Jagiellonia will already face Wisla Kraków in the Polish Super Cup match on 2 April.

The last time we faced Jagiellonia Białystok was on 21 September 2024. It was a match played as part of the 9th round of the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa. The match between Lechia Gdańsk and Jagiellonia Białystok, played as part of the 26th round of the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa, will be refereed by Paweł Raczkowski from Warsaw. He has refereed two matches involving the White-Greens this season. The first was a clash within the 4th round of PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa against Zagłębie Lubin, which ended in a 1:1 draw. The second was a meeting with Piast Gliwice within the 13th round, which ended with a score of 3:3.
During the upcoming match, Raczkowski will be assisted on the lines by Tomasz Listkiewicz and Marek Arys, while Filip Kaliszewski will be the technical referee. Łukasz Szczech and Arkadiusz Kamil Wójcik will be responsible for the VAR system.
