It was with great sadness that we received the news of the death of Andrzej Marchel, a former footballer of our team. He died at the age of 60.

Andrzej Marchel made his debut in Lechia’s colours as a 17-year-old and was an important part of our team over the years. In 1983, he won the Polish Cup and Super Cup with Lechia, and also played in an important match against Juventus. He played a total of 236 games in the green and white colours, forever making his mark on the history of our club.

We join in the pain with Andrew’s family and loved ones. He passed away not only a great footballer, but also a true Lechista who will always remain in our memory. Rest in peace.
