Carver: I am disappointed mainly with the first half

Lechia Gdańsk ended their run in the STS Polish Cup, losing 1:3 to Górnik Zabrze in the round of 16. After the match, head coach John Carver shared his thoughts on the game.

Coach’s comment on the match:

I am disappointed mainly with the first half. That was not the team we’ve grown used to seeing in the last three matches. I am, however, satisfied with the second half, where we played with more pace and created more chances. We simply looked better. Above all, we looked like a team that wanted to score, get back into the game, and do everything to turn the match in our favour. We created opportunities that came in truly key moments. If you don’t take those chances, everything becomes overshadowed.
