Carver: The points difference between us is very small
After the international break, the excitement returns to the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa. On Easter Monday, Lechia Gdańsk will host Korona Kielce.
At the beginning, I would like to wish all the best for Easter to the fans and media representatives.
Team health situation:
As for players returning from injuries, all of them have been training with us for a week. They are fully involved in training, which is very good news. I will make a decision in the next 2-3 days regarding their participation. It is also important that all players who were on international duty have returned without any issues. We are starting from a much better position than two weeks ago.
What kind of match we can expect on Monday:
It’s a very tough opponent with a very good coach. The points difference between us is very small. With a potential win, we could move up at least one position. Korona is a team that is very well organized defensively and has a solid structure.
What the Green-Whites focused on during the international break:
Considering the injuries, the most important thing was simply rest and recovery. After this short break, when we returned to training, I saw a team full of enthusiasm, well-rested and fresh. That was extremely important to me. It was also important to prepare for the next two matches, as there are certain similarities in their playing styles. This gave us extra time to prepare for how to play against these systems. We are mainly focused on ourselves. We need to be aware of how the team plays in order to know how we should play.
Fans must not be missing on Easter Monday:
We all know very well how important the fans are for this club. The atmosphere they created in the match against Pogoń was truly incredible. In such moments, it’s the fans who push the team to win. We need them – they are very important to us. If the #8DychNaLechię campaign could be a success, it would be something truly amazing. I think success on the pitch and in the stands go hand in hand.
