Lechia’s final away match of the season ended with one point earned in Szczecin against Pogoń. Head coach John Carver reflected on Saturday’s thrilling encounter.
The coach’s comments:
What a game it was, ending in a 3–3 draw. I think any neutral watching this match really enjoyed it. We saw some beautiful goals and some poor defensive actions. Sometimes when you take the lead and then find yourself 3–2 down, it’s hard to come back. But we showed our character, and I think in the final minutes, we looked like the team most eager to grab the winner. I believe everyone watching saw how much heart my players and staff put into this game. We are proud. I’d also like to wish the opposing coach all the best in their final match of the season.
A journalist asked about Bujar Pllana, who has been performing very well in recent weeks:
That’s all down to his hard work. He works hard every day, both on the pitch and in the gym—that’s why he’s become such an important figure. I keep saying: these are young players, and they’re going to make mistakes, but they’re still learning and developing. Bujar is one of those players, and his commitment in training is outstanding.
