This Friday we will play another match in the 2024/25 season. As part of the 27th PKO BP Ekstraklasa round, we will face Widzew Łódź away. The first whistle will sound at 20:30.
In the previous match we faced the current Champion of Poland – Jagiellonia Białystok. The match ended with our team winning 1:0. Winning the last meeting allowed us to get out of the relegation zone, and now we are going to Lodz with the intention of maintaining a safe position and increasing our points score in the rivalry with Widzew.
– I’ve always said that due to the young age of our team we work hard on the physical aspects of the team, and on Saturday I started to see the results of that for the first time. It looks like our team is starting to gain the desired physicality to play in the Ekstraklasa. However, the real challenge is yet to come. It is much harder to stay out of the relegation zone than to get out of it. Every next match is very important for us – said coach John Carver at his pre-match press conference.
