Greater Poland Direction. Preview of the match between Lech Poznań and Lechia Gdańsk

This Saturday we will play another away meeting in the 2024/25 season. In the match of the 3rd round of PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa we will face Lech Poznan. The first whistle blows at 8:15 pm.

The inaugural match of the new season against Slask Wroclaw ended with a score of 1:1. On the other hand, in our first home match, which we played against Motor Lublin, we suffered a 0:2 defeat. The match in Poznan is another opportunity to get three points.

Ahead of us is a very cool match for us and for the fans, I think for the whole league. Two very solid brands will meet, one of which is known to be aiming, one might say, for those highest goals this year, fighting for that top spot, which is winning the Polish championship. We know that Lech Poznan is a very dangerous team at home and has a lot of individuality, and I think they are on the stage of catching that kind of positive and optimal wind for themselves. We are aware of the strength of the host team, but we have spent this entire microcycle on our tasks, on the fact that we will want to implement this and, following the example of the match in Wroclaw, go out very bravely in Poznan. What I saw during the week in this micro-cycle makes me really very optimistic, and I think that after the meeting in Poznan against Lech we will have a lot of positive feelings, and what matters most, also points – said coach Szymon Grabowski at a pre-match press conference.

I’ve heard that the individuals are at a high level, but I think we also have good players. What ambitions they have is their business, and we only focus on ourselves. I think that as we approach this match well, so we will play a good match – Tomáš Bobček said at a press briefing.
