Draw with Randers FC in Final Pre-Season Friendly

Lechia Gdańsk drew 2:2 with Randers FC in their final pre-season friendly ahead of the 2026/27 campaign. The match was played at Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk, with Samuel Kopásek and Ivan Zhelizko finding the net for the hosts.

The visitors from Denmark made the brighter start but were unable to seriously test Szymon Weirauch in the Lechia goal. The home side struck first in the 9th minute after a swift passing move. Samuel Kopásek finished off the attack to open the scoring, marking his unofficial debut for Lechia with his first goal in green and white.

Just four minutes later, Lechia doubled their advantage. The hosts won a free-kick around 20 metres from goal, and Ivan Zhelizko stepped up to curl a superb effort past the Randers goalkeeper.

Randers pulled one back in the 17th minute. Mohamed Sankoh latched onto a through ball, rounded the defence and slotted into an empty net. During the move, Bartosz Szczepankiewicz suffered an injury and was replaced by Antoni Ziółkowski. Lechia went into the break leading 2-1.

Randers Fight Back After the Break

After half-time, Randers enjoyed more possession, although Lechia continued to create chances of their own. Following an excellent cross from Kopásek, Dominik Skiba had an opportunity to extend the lead but failed to make clean contact with the ball. Camilo Mena also came close, firing his effort over the crossbar.

The Danish side equalised in the 75th minute. A cross from the left found Benjamin Orn, who made it 2:2. Randers controlled possession in the closing stages, but neither side was able to find a winner.
