Elias Olsson leaves Lechia Gdańsk

As of today, Elias Olsson is no longer a Lechia Gdańsk player.

The Swedish central defender’s contract has been terminated with immediate effect.

Similar to the situations of David Kurminovski and Bartłomiej Kludka, our Club can unfortunately no longer keep Elias Olsson under contract because his salary is not compatible with the budget of a 1 Liga club.

We would like to thank Elias for representing the White and Greens with unwavering commitment and for playing such a decisive role in the Club’s promotion to the Ekstraklasa at the end of the 2024/2025 season. Our Club wishes him every success in the next stage of his career.

Yesterday, the PZPN submitted its answer to our Club’s appeal before the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). We will keep Lechia’s supporters informed as soon as there are further developments.

The PZPN will be held liable for the irreparable harm it has caused to our Club.
