Going for victory in Gliwice. Preview of the match between Piast Gliwice and Lechia Gdańsk

Tomorrow, Sunday 19 October at 12:15 p.m., we will face Piast Gliwice in an away match. The match will be played as part of the 12th round. round of the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa. In this match, we want to show that we can fight for the full pot.

We played our last league match at Polsat Plus Arena. The match ended in a 1:1 draw. In the first half, we dominated the pitch, and Kacper Sezonienko scored a confident goal for our team. In the second half, Wisła Płock showed their better side and managed to equalise. Now we are focusing on the next match and fighting for the full points.

Every match is important for us. We’re playing a team that’s very close to us in the table.
We know they’re a side that enjoys playing football — they like to keep possession and build from the back. Their league position is deceptive because they still have two games in hand. They play through the middle, use their goalkeeper to start attacks, and have two very fast wingers. We know what they’re good at, but we must focus on ourselves. These upcoming matches are crucial before the winter break. We’ve set ourselves a points target, but I’ll keep that to myself. Above all, I just want to win. Of course, the probability of winning increases when you don’t concede goals. We’ve spent a lot of time working on improving that area. The priority will obviously be to score one more goal
– said coach John Carver at the pre-match press conference.
