Jacek Jakubowski Appointed Managing Director of Lechia Gdańsk

Jacek Jakubowski is joining Lechia Gdańsk as the club’s Managing Director. He will be responsible for operational management, coordinating Lechia’s day-to-day activities and supporting the implementation of its organisational and business strategy.

Jakubowski has more than 30 years of professional experience gained in executive, managerial, supervisory and advisory roles within sports organisations and commercial companies. Throughout his career, he has also worked with sports federations, public authorities and business partners.

He spent thirteen years with Trefl Sopot and Prokom Trefl Sopot, progressing from a sports event organiser to Managing Director. He subsequently served as President of the Management Board and CEO of the Polish Basketball League, Secretary General of the Polish Basketball Association, as well as Managing Director and COO of Ekstraklasa SA. From 2021 to 2025, he was President of the Management Board and CEO of Betcris Poland.

He graduated from the Gdańsk University of Physical Education and Sport with a degree in sports management. He also completed postgraduate studies in foreign trade and marketing at the University of Gdańsk.
