Tomorrow we will play the penultimate match at the Polsat Plus Arena in 2024. We will face Pogonia Szczecin as part of the 16th round of the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa. The meeting will start at 14:45.
In the previous match we drew 0:0 away against Korona Kielce. The clash with Pogoń will be an opportunity to show character, determination and remind us how difficult the ground is for opponents in Gdańsk. With your support from the stands we can reach for valuable points and prove that Lechia always fights to the end.
– We are not looking completely at statistics or what has happened so far. After this representative break, the two teams that will meet on Saturday will have a purpose. Our focus is on making sure we are the ones to score at the end of the year, because we certainly need it. We have a precise plan and individual tasks for each player. It is fortunate that we still have two days before the first whistle blows, because we will be able to devote this to training with the whole team. – said coach Szymon Grabowski at a pre-match press conference.
– I don’t want to look at Pogon through the prism of what they have done so far. They have certainly spent these two weeks looking better too. To change their face on away games after these last three not so good games for them in terms of points. We have diagnosed team Pogoń well, but not through the prism of results, but through the prism of how individual players perform in particular positions. How it works in matches, not only away but also at home. This is a very strong and dangerous team that has very good individuals – added the White-Greens coach to the statement.
– This is football and there is no looking back here. Every match is different. Pogoń have their goals, we have our goals, and there will be two teams that will want to get a set of points. We will do everything so that the set stays in Gdańsk – said Milosz Kalahur at a press briefing.
– I don’t want to give away the details here. We have them analysed. We know that they have a lot of problems in some aspects of the game, which we will want to exploit. That’s why I don’t want to comment here on the forum and reveal what we have worked on, but we know where their shortcomings are and we will want to exploit that – added the defender of our team.
