Our second sparring match in Turkey is behind us. This time we faced Polissya Zhytomyr. The match ended with a 1:0 win for our team.

In the 2nd minute of the match Ivan Zhelizko took a nice shot from a free kick, after which the Lechists won a corner kick. Eleven minutes later, Szymon Weirauch showed a phenomenal intervention after Caua Paixao’s shot. In the 26th minute, our goalkeeper again showed his reflexes after Ruslan Babenko’s strike. Five minutes later, Ivan Zhelizko left the playing area. In his place, Rifet Kapić appeared on the turf. In the 40th minute, the White-Greens constructed a convenient situation. Anton Tsarenko passed the ball to Bohdan Viunnyk, who fired a shot, but the goalkeeper defended the strike of our striker. Tsarenko tried to score with his head after a rebound by the goalkeeper, but the ball hit the crossbar. By the break, the scoreboard showed 0:0.

We started the second half with two changes in the line-up. Anton Tsarenko and Loup Diwan Gueho left the game. Their place on the pitch was taken by Karl Wendt and Elias Olsson. In the 48th minute, Szymon Weirauch again showed a great intervention. Five minutes later, Kacper Sezonienko changed Camilo Mena. In the 59th minute Bujar Pllana, Maksym Khlan, Bohdan Viunnyk, Rifet Kapić and Milosz Kalahur left the turf. In their place, Louis D’Arrigo, Michał Głogowski, Tomasz Wójtowicz, Tomas Bobcek and Andrei Chindris checked in on the playing field. In the 64th minute, Adam Kardaś changed Dominik Pila. Sixteen minutes later Tomas Bobcek found himself in a one-on-one situation with the opponents’ goalkeeper, but failed to take advantage of the situation. Before that, however, he was in a offside position, so finalising the action would not have put the White-Greens in the lead. In the 90th Karl Wendt passed the ball to our Slovakian striker, and he confidently took advantage of the situation and led us into the match. The match ended with a 1:0 victory for the White-Greens.

The next sparring match will be played on 21 January against the Czech team MFK Karvina.
