In the 13th round of the PKO BP Ekstraklasa, we drew with Piast Gliwice with a score of 3-3. We invite you to listen to the post-match press conference featuring coach Szymon Grabowski.
– I’ll sum up this match by saying that when you score three goals away and create at least three more chances, you have to win games like this. We definitely have ourselves to blame here because, with good play—at times, very good play—we should have closed out the game around the 55th minute. Unfortunately, things went differently, and those demons from the past somehow resurfaced. – commented coach Grabowski. – Despite this, I still think we were in a position to have a match-winning chance, and if we had been more precise, we could have closed out the game in our favor toward the end. Nevertheless, we have to appreciate this point because, as we know, Piast Gliwice doesn’t often lose at home. They are a tough team to face on their own turf, and they certainly showed that today. They took advantage of the moments when we dropped back too easily and too deep into defense, which paid off for them with clear results. I still want to commend my team. After a stretch without picking up points, today, in my opinion, we could have left here as the winners if we had taken advantage of the chances we created. We respect the point, keep working, and stay focused on the next match.
About Andrei Chindriș’s performance:
– We’ll be discussing both his individual performance and the team’s. From the perspective of the bench, I think I can be satisfied with Andrei’s cooperation with Elias. I haven’t reviewed the conceded goals on replay yet, so we’ll definitely need to take a closer look at them. The competition for spots is ongoing, and we’ll see who starts in the lineup on Sunday.
About Camilo Mena’s injury:
– At this moment, it’s too early to say. The initial prognosis isn’t good, but it’s not dramatic either. We need to wait for the tests on Monday or tomorrow.
About Kacper Sezonienko’s entry:
– I don’t entirely believe that Sezon was a bad substitution here, nor would the change of Tomek Wójtowicz have necessarily been a good one. We will definitely conduct an analysis with the players and listen to their perspectives on the decisions made in various situations. Only then will we be able to assess the situation more rationally.
About the conversation between fans and players:
– What I heard was a very positive, uplifting conversation. I wouldn’t see any negative emotions in that. On the contrary, those fans, whom we thank once again, have provided support to the team and motivation to fight for three points together on Sunday. That is what matters most to us.
