For only the second time in PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa history, a player born in the 21st century has scored a hat-trick. The scorer was Tomáš Bobček, the first foreign player of this generation to achieve the feat, representing Lechia Gdańsk. Bobček’s three goals helped reduce the margin of Lechia Gdańsk’s 3:4 defeat to Lech Poznań on Matchday 2. Individually, the Slovak striker celebrated his first-ever Ekstraklasa hat-trick. He became just the second player born in the 2000s to achieve this (after Dawid Drachal) and the first among foreign players. This season, Bobček is the first player in the entire league to record a hat-trick, ending Efthymis Koulouris’ run of four consecutive hat-tricks in the competition. He also continues the streak of Slovak scorers in recent seasons:
2023/2024 – Adam Zreľák (Warta Poznań)
2024/2025 – Samuel Mráz (Motor Lublin)
2025/2026 – Tomáš Bobček (Lechia Gdańsk)
