It was a difficult match for us. We knew that Termalica are an experienced team who play aggressively at home. At certain moments, we managed to execute our game plan, but we had problems controlling the transitions. We need to be more aggressive, especially in counter-pressing, and react quicker after losing possession.

The Green and Whites played three away matches in a short period of time:

It was a very demanding week. We played three matches and practically had no opportunity to go through a normal training process. We also had several minor injuries, which meant that not all of our players were in optimal physical condition for this match.

The coach highlighted the team’s physical condition:

We were not as physically prepared for this match as we would have liked. With such an intense schedule, recovery is the most important thing. We have to manage the players and their workloads properly because their health is very important to us.

On the areas the team needs to improve:

We need to react better after losing possession and be more aggressive in our counter-pressing. These are elements we will continue to work on. Now we have time to analyse this match, draw the right conclusions and prepare for our next game.
