In a friendly match against Cyprus’ AEL Limassol, we suffered a 1:3 defeat.

In the 9th minute of the match, the team from Cyprus found itself in front of a good opportunity. Fortunately, AEL Limassol’s offensive did not take advantage of the situation. In the 12th minute, a great intervention was shown by Simon Weirauch, who defended Emmanuel Toku’s measured shot. Sergyi Buletsa scored a good rebound in the 25th minute, but a moment later, according to the arbitrators, the Ukrainian midfielder, being in a convenient situation, was offside. In the 27th minute, the Cypriots opened the score. In a one-on-one situation Aviv Avraham hit the goal. Soon after, the guests increased the score of the match. In the 31st minute Emmanuel Toku beat our goalkeeper with his shot from close range. The Lechists constructed a good action in the 43rd minute. After a double action by Sergyi Buletsa and Marcel Bajko, the ball went to Bohdan Viunnyk. However, the latter, in a one-on-one situation, was blocked by AEL’s goalkeeper. The scoreboard read 0:2 until the break.

The Lechists started the second half with no changes in the lineup. In the 53rd minute, our players constructed a good opportunity. Unfortunately, Sergyi Buletsa’s centering shot was knocked out by the Cypriot goalkeeper. In the 70th minute, Bohdan Viunnyk tried a direct shot from a free kick, but the ball soared over the goal. Moments later, Gerolemou fired a shot from a distance, which went marginally past the goal guarded by Simon Weirauch. In the 77th minute, the Cypriots scored the third goal of the game. In the 79th minute, Borkowski got past his rival, passed to Pieczka’s goal, and the latter beat AEL’s goalkeeper. The meeting ended with a score of 1:3.
