In the match of the 16th round of the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa, we lost to Pogoń Szczecin. The meeting ended with a score of 0:3.
In the 3rd minute, Maksym Khlan was in a good place to strike from distance, but the ball flew past the post after the Ukrainian’s strike. Pogoń took the lead in the 19th minute. Kamil Grosicki played the ball into the penalty area, after which the ball bounced off Kacper Sezonienka and Efthymis Koulouris brought the Szczeciners into the lead. In the 25th minute, Tomasz Neugebauer finished off Lechia with a shot, but unfortunately the strike was off target. In the same minute, Pogoń found themselves in a good situation to increase the score. Kamil Grosicki played the ball to Kacper Lukasik, who took a dangerous head shot, but fortunately our goalkeeper showed phenomenal intervention. Maksym Khlan came close to levelling the match in the 30th. minute. After an intervention by a Pogoń defender, the ball fell to the feet of Maksym Khlan, who fired a shot that hit the post. Lechists constructed a good action in the 38th minute minute. Conrado passed the ball towards Kacper Sezonienka, but the goalkeeper snatched the ball away from him. We started the second half with changes in the line-up. Anton Tsarenko changed Tomasz Neugebauer, and Tomasz Wójtowicz appeared on the pitch in place of Miłosz Kałahur. In the 55th minute, Ivan Zhelizko again tried to surprise Valentin Cojocaru, but the shot was too light to threaten Pogoń’s goal. In the 63rd minute, Kacper Sezonienko left the pitch and was replaced on the pitch by Karl Wendt. Anton Tsarenko fired a shot from distance in the 69th minute, but again the Szczecin goalkeeper intervened without problems. Referee Szymon Marciniak dictated a penalty kick for Pogoń, following a foul by Ivan Zhelizko on Adrian Przyborek. Eftyhmis Koulouris confidently performed the eleven and from the 83rd minute the Szczecinians were in a three-goal lead. In the 89th minute Louis D’Arrigo, who changed Ivan Zhelizko, appeared on the pitch and Adam Kardaś came on for Maksym Khlan. The match ended with our team losing 0:3.
