In the match of the 13th round of the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa, we drew with Piast Gliwice at an away game. The meeting ended with a score of 3:3.
The match went perfectly for the ‘White-Greens’. In the 3rd minute of the match, Dominik Pila passed the ball to Camilo Mena, who was fouled in the penalty area by Miguel Nobrega. Referee Pawel Raczkowski dictated an eleven and a minute later the Colombian, converted the fixed part into a goal for our team. In the 8th minute of the match, Rifet Kapić played a good ball to Bohdan Viunnyk, who took a head shot, but Piast’s goalkeeper showed a confident intervention. Bohdan Viunnyk again found himself in a good situation in the 33rd minute of the match. The Ukrainian rushed into Piast’s penalty area, beat the Gliwice defenders with his dribbling, but his shot proved too light to threaten the goal guarded by Frantisek Plach. In the 43rd minute, Michał Chrapek passed the ball to Jorge Felix, who with a confident strike beat our goalkeeper. In the dying minutes of the game, Szymon Weirauch showed his good reflexes and deflected a shot from Miłosz Szczepański onto the post, saving our team from losing a goal. By the break, the scoreboard showed 1:1.
The second half started with no changes in the line-up. Camilo Mena in the 46th minute phenomenally passed the ball to Bohdan Viunnyk, and the latter with a confident shot beat Frantisek Plach. Two minutes later, Camilo Mena found himself in a great situation to increase the White-Greens’ lead. Bohdan Viunnyk passed the ball to the Colombian, but after his shot the ball only hit the side netting. Camilo Mena again found himself in a phenomenal situation in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, the Colombian, in a one-on-one action with the goalkeeper, hit Frantisek Plach directly. In the 56th minute, Kacper Sezonienko appeared on the pitch, who changed Camilo Mena. Five minutes later, Louis D’Arrigo checked in on the pitch, replacing Anton Tsarenko. The Australian did not need much time to increase our team’s lead. Two minutes after entering the pitch, Louis D’Arrigo hit a beautiful, technical shot right into the window and beat the Gliwice goalkeeper. In the 66th minute, Jorge Felix scored the second goal for Piast. Szymon Weirauch showed a great intervention in the 68th minute of the match, which saved our team from losing a goal. In the 78th minute Bohdan Viunnyk left the pitch and Tomasz Wójtowicz appeared on the pitch. After confusion in our penalty area, a goal for Gliwice was scored in the 81st minute by Maciej Rosołek. In the 88th minute, our players found themselves in a convenient situation to take the lead again. Rifet Kapić fired a shot from distance, which was deflected by Frantisek Plach straight to the feet of Maksym Khlan, but the Ukrainian’s rebound hit the Piast goalkeeper centrally. The match ended in a 3:3 draw.
