The sparring match in Al Ain is behind us. We faced the Al-Ain FC U-23 team in a sparring match in the United Arab Emirates and the match ended with our team winning 1:0.

In the 9th minute of the match, Kacper Sezonienko was close to scoring the first goal of the game, but the ball flew marginally over the crossbar. Twelve minutes later, Tomasz Wójtowicz passed a good ball towards Camilo Mena in the penalty area, but the Colombian’s shot was just off target. In the 34th minute, the White and Greens constructed a composed action. Kacper Sezonienko passed a great ball to Camilo Mena and he withdrew to Dominik Piła, who fired a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, but the ball flew minimally past the Al Ain FC U23 goal. Nine minutes later Karl Wendt found himself in a good opportunity to open the score. However, the Swede’s shot was blocked by the hosts’ defender. After the defensive intervention, the ball found its way to Rifet Kapic, who fired a shot but the Al Ain goalkeeper managed to intervene. There was a goalless draw on the scoreboard until the break.

We started the second half with two changes in the line-up. Szymon Weirauch and Michał Głogowski left the pitch. In their place, Bohdan Sarnavskyi and Tomas Bobcek appeared on the pitch. In the 51st minute Andrei Chindris and Elias Olsson were replaced by Loup Diwan Gueho and Bujar Pllana. Eight minutes later Bartosz Szczepankiewicz changed Tomasz Neugebauer on the pitch. In the 61st minute, Tomas Bobcek found himself in a great situation to score after Rifet Kapić passed the ball. However, the Al Ain goalkeeper managed to defend the Slovakian’s shot. Seven minutes later, Dominik Piła brilliantly got past an Al Ain defender and passed the ball to Tomas Bobcek, who fired a powerful shot that soared over the crossbar. In the 74th minute, Tomas Bobcek’s shot found the ball in the hosts’ goal, but the match referee saw the ball as offside. A minute later, Rifet Kapić and Camilo Mena left the pitch. Adam Kardaś and Marcel Bajko appeared on the pitch in their place. In the 83rd minute, Adam Kardaś received the ball brilliantly in midfield and passed it to Kacper Sezonienko, who passed it into the penalty area to Tomas Bobcek, but the Slovakian was unable to reach the ball. Four minutes later Marcel Bajko scored a goal for our team. The match ended with a 1:0 victory for our team.
