Coach John Carver answered journalists’ questions before the match against Lech Poznań.

Regarding whether Coach Carver plans to field two forwards for the match against Lech, as he did in the game against Motor:

I usually base our tactics on our strengths and weaknesses, but in this case, I have to take into account how ambitious the Lech team is. The upcoming match will depend not only on how long we have possession of the ball, but also on how long our opponent will have it. I’m sorry, but I won’t reveal whether we will play with one or two forwards.

Regarding how the coach mentally prepared the Lechia players for the match against Lech:

For the young players, this is definitely a great experience. In matches like this, they always gain a lot of experience. I would also add that we are on the right track, as we’ve earned 4 points in the last two league matches. I want the players to have fun during this game.

Regarding where the coach would see Lechia if they were to play in one of the English leagues:

Honestly, I believe we could compete in League One. Keep in mind that this is still a young team that will gain a lot more experience, but I can see how quickly they are developing.

Regarding how the coach reacts to Rifet Kapić’s return for the match against Lech:

I’m happy to have our captain back, but I need to take into account how we played in Lublin. As I mentioned earlier, every player must earn their place in the team.

Regarding the players’ physical condition:

In Turkey, we had double training sessions, and we didn’t have much time to rest after returning. The team is in better shape and more athletic after the camp, but also thanks to the work in the gym.

Regarding whether the coach reminds the players of the difficult situation in the table or tells them not to worry about it:
I don’t focus on the table too much with the players. We are aware of the situation, but I always tell them to concentrate on the next game. The key is to take things step by step and not let the overall picture overwhelm us.

Of course, we keep an eye on the table, but we already have a plan for this season, and even with various obstacles, we focus primarily on that. It’s the next 6 matches that will really show us the situation we’re in.
