Let’s go to Szczecin. Preview of Pogoń – Lechia match

On 17 May 2025, we will play the penultimate match of the 2024/25 season. As part of the 33rd PKO BP Ekstraklasa round, we will face Pogoń in Szczecin. The match will start at 14:45.

RIVAL PROFILE: POGOŃ

Last season, Pogoń finished 4th in the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa, just four points off the podium. The team from Szczecin also reached the final of the Polish Cup, where they lost 1:2 to Wisła Kraków after extra time.

Pogoń are currently fourth in the league table. Pogoń were again in the final of the Polish Cup this season, losing 3:4 to Legia Warsaw. Szczecin’s last game was against Motor Lublin. The game ended in a 3-0 victory for the Szczecinians.

LAST MATCH AGAINST POGOŃ

The last time we faced Pogoń was on 23 November 2024 at the Polsat Plus Arena as part of the 16th round of the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa. The match ended in our defeat 0:3. In contrast, our last victory over Pogoń was on 21 June 2020, when we won 1:0 after a goal by Kenny Saief.

So far, we have played 64 matches against Pogoń. We have won in 22 matches. There has been a draw in 16 matches. On the other hand, we have suffered defeat 26 times.

REFEREES PANEL

The main referee for the match between Pogoń Szczecin and Lechia Gdańsk, played as part of the 33rd round of the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa, will be Patryk Gryckiewicz from Toruń. He has officiated two matches involving the White-Greens this season. The first was the match against Cracovia, played in the 14th round, which ended in a 1:2 defeat for our team. The second meeting was an away clash with Legia Warszawa, which ended in a 2:1 victory for the Varsovians.

The head referee will be assisted on the lines by Marcin Boniek and Michał Sobczak. Szymon Rutkowski will act as technical referee. Piotr Urban and Radosław Siejka will be responsible for the VAR system.
