Lechia Gdańsk secured their second victory of the summer preseason. John Carver’s side defeated Olimpia Grudziądz 4:1 at T29, with goals from Michał Głogowski, Bohdan Viunnyk, and a brace from Tomáš Bobček.
Until the 11th minute, the match remained goalless as both teams calmly moved the ball around. That changed when Michał Głogowski intercepted a high ball and beat the visiting goalkeeper to open the scoring.
Lechia dominated the next phase of play, but struggled to convert chances into goals. Despite several promising attacking actions, precision in the final third was lacking. In the 25th minute, Olimpia mounted a rare attack and came close to equalizing, but a sharp intervention by Bohdan Sarnavskyi kept the score at 1:0.
However, in the 32nd minute, Olimpia found the net following a corner kick. Moments later, they tried to build on the momentum inside Lechia’s box, but Sarnavskyi was alert once again. The teams went into the break tied at 1:1.
