Sadly, this is another sad piece of information in recent days. Andrzej Głownia, an alumni and former player of Lechia Gdańsk, died today at the age of 72.

Andrzej Głownia, alias ‘Lufka’, was one of Lechia’s best players in the 1970s. He was honoured with a star in the ‘Alley of Stars’ at the stadium at Traugutta 29. In 1972 he won the plebiscite for the most popular footballer of the Coast.

The date and place of the funeral will be announced once it has been scheduled.
