Tomasz Neugebauer took part in a press briefing before Saturday’s match against Motor Lublin.
On whether preparations for the match were problematic due to the uncertain licensing situation:
– No, they weren’t. We kept doing our work, training hard. We had excellent conditions during the camp, and we focused on nothing else but the game.
Did the Lechia players have to adapt to the new coach’s style of play?
– The coach clearly presented us with the new game structure. Everyone knows their tasks and what they need to do. You’ll see how it looks during the game.
On the team’s difficult situation in midfield:
– I haven’t thought about it. It’s up to the coach to decide how to solve this situation.
On summarizing the 4 weeks of preparation and the camp:
– The coach focused on intense training because this is the period where you can really focus on them. Importantly, we also had running sessions. I believe we’ve prepared well for the upcoming match.
On whether Lechia will finally manage to beat Motor:
– We’re going to Lublin with the goal of winning. We need to have this mindset for every upcoming game. Obviously, we’re lacking points in the table, and we need to gather as many of them as possible.
On whether the team was happy with the very good results in the pre-season camps:
– We were happy, especially since we had few victories before the camp. Every player plays to win. Thanks to the games at the camp, the entire team’s confidence grew.
