Before the match against Rakow Częstochowa, coach Szymon Grabowski answered questions from journalists at a press conference.
“The situation is difficult, but it will be a very big victory for all of us, when we take a breath, get out of this hole and once again be proud of ourselves that we have once again made it.” said coach Grabowski – “We are aware of the difficulty of the task we are facing. One of the league favorites, Raków Częstochowa, is coming to us, and they will certainly have a clear task – to win on Friday. Nevertheless, we approach the game with the same attitude. We know we have a lot of work ahead of us, but it’s looking better and better every day. The last period disturbed us a bit, but I hope that after Friday’s game we will see a lot of positives, and consequently a good result. Therefore, with a positive attitude we are preparing for Friday’s meeting with Raków.”
During the conference, the coach answered questions about the disposition of individual players or potential transfers, and more.
On the atmosphere in the team: The coach emphasized the fact that he is constantly talking to the players in the team – many of them faced so much pressure for the first time in their careers due to failures in recent games. However, any time is a good time to bounce back, and the attitude in the team does not match its place in the table. “I am confident that on Friday the fans who will gather at our stadium will see a mentally strong team, a team striving for victory. The setbacks that have occured so far will not blur the image of the team that the fans still have in their minds.”
On the health of the players: “Tomas Bobcek is out of the game for an extended period of time, between 2 and 3 months. Louis D’Arrigo and Filip Koperski are recovering, while as for Tomasz Neugebauer – after the meeting with Górnik Zabrze we anticipate that he will begin normal training with the team.”
On Luis Fernandez’s individual training: “Luis Fernandez is getting closer and closer to optimal health. He is training all the time to be one hundred percent ready. In terms of rumors which circulated in the media – there are ongoing discussions between the agent, Luis and the club owner. For the moment, I’m focusing on the players I have at my disposal.”
