In the match of the 15th round of the PKO Bank Polski Ekstraklasa, we drew with Korona Kielce. The meeting ended with a score of 0:0.
In the 10th minute, after a mix-up in Korona’s penalty area, Maksym Khlan found himself in a good situation and fired a shot from just outside the 16th metre. Unfortunately, the ball after the Ukrainian’s strike was blocked by a Kielce defender. Dominik Piła in the 28th minute tried to cleverly pass the ball to Bohdan Viunnyk, but the latter deflected the ball too far in front of him at the reception in Korona’s penalty area and failed to shoot. Elias Olsson in the 31st minute twice showed good interventions that saved our team from losing a goal. A minute later, Anton Tsarenko tried to surprise Xavier Dziekoński with a shot from distance, but the shot was off target. By the break, the scoreboard showed a goalless draw.
The second half started with no changes in the line-up. In the 52nd minute Korona Kielce found themselves in a convenient situation to take the lead in the match. Fortunately, the first shot was defended by Bohdan Sarnavskyi, on the next one Elias Olsson intervened, the third strike was blocked by a Korona striker and on the fourth attempt Pau Resta hit over the crossbar. Rifet Kapić found himself in a good position to shoot from distance in the 60th minute, but the ball after the Bosnian’s strike went straight into the hands of Xavier Dziekoński. The Lechists constructed a great situation to take the lead in the match in the 66th minute. Rifet Kapić passed the ball to Anton Tsarenko, who rushed towards Korona’s penalty area. The Ukrainian passed the ball to Bohdan Viunnyk, who finalised the action with a shot, but minimally off target. In the 73rd minute, Bohdan Viunnyk left the pitch and Kacper Sezonienko appeared on the pitch. One minute later, Rifet Kapić centred the ball from a free kick towards Bujar Pllana, who was in a good place to shoot at the Kielce goal, but was beaten by a Korona defender at the last moment. Tomasz Neugebauer left the pitch in the 78th minute and was replaced by Louis D’Arrigo. In the 86th minute, Anton Tsarenko ended the match and Karl Wendt appeared on the pitch. Bohdan Sarnavskyi showed phenomenal defending in the 90th minute. Adrian Dalmau fired a powerful shot from close range, but our goalkeeper showed incredible reflexes and saved our team from losing the goal. The match ended in a goalless draw.
